Tone 1. Level 1 kHz at 250 nWb/m Reference Fluxivity. 0 dB, 30 sec.
Adjust playback gain controls to obtain EQUAL 1 kHz output signals on both channels.
Reference Fluxivity: 250 nWb/m at 1000 Hz NAB Equalization
Record Level: 0 dBr at 15 ips, -10 dBr at 7-1/2 and 3-3/4 ips.
Please specify Speed and Playback Head configuration of the tape.
Duration of each tape is about 8 min.
Please note, with Economy shipping listed above without Tracking Number, our responsibility ends at the post shop reception. Tone 2. 1 kHz Head height alignment. +12 dB, 30 sec.
Set EQUAL MINIMUM 1 kHz output signals on both channels using the head height adjustment screws.
Tone 3. 15 kHz Azimuth alignment. -10 dB (0 dB for 15 i.p.s tape), 20 sec.
Set MAXIMUM level and EQUAL phases of the 15 kHz output signal on both channels using the Head Azimuth adjustment screw.
Tone 4. 1 kHz Head height alignment. +12 dB, 30 sec.
Set EQUAL MINIMUM 1 kHz output signals on both channels using the head height adjustment screws.
Tone 5. 15 kHz Azimuth alignment. -10 dB (0 dB for 15 i.p.s tape), 20 sec.
Set MAXIMUM level and EQUAL phases of the 15 kHz output signal on both channels using the Head Azimuth adjustment screw.
Every time, after you adjusted Head height, Azimuth must be readjusted.
So, 1 kHz Head height / 15 kHz Azimuth sequence will continue till the end of the tape.
